Duy Tan University, situated in the vibrant city of Danang on the Pacific Ocean, has been steadily growing and sharing its vision of creating a thriving, modern, and international metropolis. Established by the Prime Minister of Vietnam on November 11, 1994, Duy Tan University is the first and largest private institution in Central Vietnam, offering a wide range of disciplines.
Over the course of twenty-eight years, Duy Tan University has made significant advancements in education and training. The university has enrolled 3,108 PhD and Master’s students, 109,130 undergraduate and associate bachelor’s degree students, and 12,400 vocational program students.
Duy Tan University has played a vital role in supplying the local labor market with 77,604 graduates and postgraduates to date. These highly qualified individuals have actively contributed to the area’s industrialization and modernization. With over 95% of graduates finding employment within a year of graduation, the university has not only raised the intellectual standards of its graduates but has also contributed to the societal integration of education.
Dedicated to providing quality education to the community for nearly three decades, Duy Tan University has continuously increased both the quantity and quality of its faculty. The number of employees has grown from a few dozen to 1,223, with 28% holding PhDs and full or associate professorships. Many faculty members have graduated from leading universities worldwide, including the USA, Russia, France, Germany, Canada, Korea, and Belgium. Additionally, the university welcomes 200 visiting lecturers from Vietnam and abroad. The collaborative efforts of full-time and visiting lecturers have played a crucial role in Duy Tan University’s success. As a result, the university ranks among the top five academic institutions in Vietnam, with the highest number of international publications, multiple research projects at the national and ministerial levels, patents, and indexed journals.
With the motto “Partnering with Giants,” Duy Tan University has established partnerships with renowned American universities such as Carnegie Mellon University, Pennsylvania State University, California State University, and Purdue University. Through programs like the 2+2, 1+1+2, and 3+1 programs, students have the opportunity to study abroad and obtain degrees from prestigious institutions while studying at Duy Tan University.
In 2017, Duy Tan University collaborated with Troy University and Keuka College to offer internationally recognized ADP courses in Business Administration, Information Technology, and Tourism & Hospitality Management, enabling students to earn US degrees while studying in Vietnam.
Throughout its twenty-seven years of operation, Duy Tan University has achieved remarkable progress and received recognition in various rankings and accreditations. The university ranks among the top 500 universities internationally, in the top 100 in the Times Higher Education Asia University Rankings, in the top 210 Asian universities, and in the top 801-1000 universities worldwide according to the QS Rankings. Duy Tan University is also accredited by ABET in Information Technology and Electrical and Electronic Engineering, and it became the first university in Vietnam to be certified by the United Nations Tourism Education Quality (UNWTO TedQual) in Hospitality. The university’s excellence extends to fields such as computer science, engineering, business, economics, and health, as recognized by Times Higher Education.

Throughout its twenty-eight years of dedication, Duy Tan University has earned the trust and recognition of the Communist Party, the State, and the local community, receiving numerous certificates of merit and medals from city and national governments. The university was honored with a First-Class Labor.
